The Blue Mountain Sage Sangha would like to acknowledge Tendai-shu, Enryakuji and Ichishimi Shoshin for allowing us to become a part of this amazing lineage. We would like to thank the Jigyodan (Tendai Overseas Charitable Foundation) for supporting and encouraging the spread of Tendai outside of Japan. It is with the permission of Tendai-shu and Enryakuji that people can be trained and ordained outside of Japan. We simply could not function without these people and we are in a constant state of gratitude.
Thanks to Monshin and Shumon for all the hard work they have done, and continue to do, to spread the Dharma. Training under their watchful eye, alongside the amazing people that form Tendai North America, Europe and beyond is truly an experience beyond words. We have received constant support from the Kozo, Doshu and Soryo and their compassion always warms our hearts. Thanks to all the members of the Tendai Sangha worldwide. We are here to serve you but we couldn’t do this without your support and kindness. Thanks to all the family members who allow us to make the trips to TBI for training. We must also recognize all the people who walked this path before we did. We honor their efforts by carrying on in a manner that reflects our reverence to them.
I first encountered Tendai at the Denver Dojo of Bujinkan Martial Arts. Shidoshi Choat and the Denver Dojo continue to encourage us and we are grateful. A special thanks to Shidoshi Griffin, Paul Sensei and the Hitokage Dojo as well. My thanks to Sensei Culbreth from the Buke Bujinkan Dojo who gave us a much deeper understanding of strength and perseverance! You all inspire us and we thank you!
I’d like to thank Monshin Sensei for permission to use the information on the history page of this site. Any errors on this website are completely my own and if there are any, I apologize.
Last but certainly not least, thanks to Simon Lacouline for creating our beautiful website!
~ Humility and Gratitude!
